Arkansas FFA Members Awarded Scholarships by U of A Department of Poultry Science
Springdale Har-Ber FFA members won the Poultry Evaluation CDE and received scholarships from the Department of Poultry Science.
The U of A Department of Poultry Science awarded $13,000 in scholarships to the winners of the Arkansas FFA State Poultry Evaluation Career Development Event on April 8.
The Poultry Evaluation CDE tests high school students' knowledge of production, processing and marketing of poultry products and eggs. The Poultry Science Department at the U of A offered scholarships to the winners of the contest for the first time this year.
The one-time scholarships were offered to the winning team as well as the top three individuals.
Winning Team Members:
- Jondavid Cousins – Springdale Har-Ber FFA
- Christin Sauve – Springdale Har-Ber FFA
- Presley Shelton – Springdale Har-Ber FFA
- Race Tillery – Springdale Har-Ber FFA
Top Three Individuals:
- First place: Race Tillery – Springdale Har-Ber FFA
- Second place: Noah Atha – Lincoln FFA
- Third place: Christin Sauve – Springdale Har-Ber FFA
Each member of the winning team received $1,000. The top individuals received $4,000, $3,000 and $2,000 respectively.
