June is LGBTQIA Pride Month, and the University Libraries are celebrating with book displays and multimedia resources. All books in the displays, located on the lobby level of Mullins Library, are available for immediate checkout. Documentaries and videos can be streamed online, and physical CDs and DVDs are also available for checkout in the Multimedia Department, located in the Mullins Library Hodges Reading Room.

Books on display include The No-Nonsense Guide to Sexual Diversity by Vanessa Baird, Rainbow Relatives by Sudi Karatas and Evidence of Being by Darius Bost. The display was designed by Lynaire Hartsell, user experience coordinator, to be intersectional and inclusive.

Documentaries available for streaming include The Freedom to Marry, In My Shoes: Stories of Youth with LGBT Parents and Pay It No Mind: Marsha P. Johnson. A full list of physical and digital movies and documentaries curated by Shannon Youmans, library specialist, is available on the Libraries' blog, 365 McIlroy

The University Libraries are committed to maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for all and providing access to research materials that foster a better understanding of our shared humanity.
