Molly Throgmorton

Molly Throgmorton, assistant director for research development in the Division of Research and Innovation, was recognized with the Society of Research Administrators International's (SRAI) "Future of the Field" award. The recognition program highlights the up-and-comers of research administration demonstrating leadership among their peers and institutions in innovative ways that advance the field.

"The Division of Research and Innovation is extremely proud of Molly; she is most deserving of this honor," said Cynthia Sides, assistant vice chancellor for research and innovation, director of research advancement. "It is a pleasure to work with her on developing projects and innovative ideas that will enhance the field of research advancement at the U of A and broadly. The SRAI award signifies Molly's dedication to serving investigators and fostering research, as well as her commitment to expanding research advancement opportunities across campus and throughout the field."

Throgmorton was selected by a committee of research administrator peers after the program received more than 100 nominations from around the globe. Applications were evaluated based on candidates' career history, demonstration of exceptional professional growth and significant contributions made to the advancement of research administration.

"The individuals recognized through Future of the Field are some of the best and brightest in our profession," said Debra Schaller-Demers, president, SRAI. "These are the next generation trailblazers who will drive research administration innovation in the years to come!"
"Future of the Field" honorees will be formally recognized at SRAI's annual meeting this November in Las Vegas.
