Faculty: Submit Course Reserve Requests Now for the Fall 2022 Semester

The University Libraries are now accepting course reserve requests for the Fall 2022 semester. Instructors are encouraged to fill out an online Course Reserves Form, and requests will be accepted throughout the year.

The libraries utilize LibGuides to host all locally digitized material. LibGuides allows for the designation of a date upon which the material will no longer be available, which helps the U of A abide by copyright law. In lieu of posting materials directly into Blackboard, a direct link to all course reserve material within LibGuides will be provided. This link can be posted directly into Blackboard, shared with students via email or added to syllabi. Please note that the links provided will only be accessible for one semester. Instructors who wish to use the same materials for subsequent semesters must fill out a new form to receive an updated link.

All course reserve requests will be processed in the order in which they are received. Libraries personnel will begin processing requests within two to three business days of receiving a completed form; however, it is not guaranteed that all requested materials will be available. The process to get copyright clearance on materials can be lengthy, so it is recommended that instructors complete course reserve requests as soon as possible.

For assistance in finding course materials, instructors may contact their subject librarian for help. Those interested in using existing Open Educational Resources or creating their own may apply to participate in the U of A's Open Educational Resources Programs or contact the Open Educational Resources team at oer@uark.edu.
