Staff Senate Meeting Notes From Aug. 11

Parking and Transit

  • Full-service bus routes begin on Monday, Aug. 15.
  • Resident reserved lots closed for move-in and then will be only resident reserved.
  • We are still short-handed on bus drivers. We have 36 positions and 20 vacancies.
  • Concerns were brought forward about lot 38.
  • Lot 3 will now have 19 ADA spaces.

Latest budget was updated with lunch portion from the retreat.

Awards Committee

  • Awards information will be in Arkansas News in September.
  • Employee awards banquet in October will be in person.

EOQ/EOY

  • Employees of the 4th quarter were selected and announced in Arkansas News.

Internal Affairs

  • Bylaws are being reviewed.

Initiative-open pathways reaccreditation process. The U of A has chosen "Belonging." There are four key areas.

  • Staff compensation, classification and workforce structure

Spring Bike Drive Refurbishes Old Bikes for New Students

All donated bikes will be given to Pedal It Forward, a local nonprofit that will refurbish your bike and return it to the U of A campus to be gifted to a student in need. Hundreds of students have already benefited.
