Workshop Series for Faculty: Mentoring Graduate Students and Postdocs Deadline Approaching

Interested in being a more effective mentor to graduate students and postdocs? This six-session series focuses on best practices for faculty to inspire, manage and professionally develop their graduate mentees. Attendees will join a faculty mentoring community to share ideas and experiences to promote student and research success.

Effective mentoring is a learned process that takes time and experience. Indeed, meaningful mentorship requires embracing diversity and recognizing that we can continually improve as mentors to our students and postdocs. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to mentoring, but this six-part workshop series allows faculty to develop a mentoring philosophy, experiment with various mentoring methods and discuss mentoring challenges and successes with peers.

For more information on dates and times and to apply, go to Mentoring Graduate Students page. Apply before 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, and share this opportunity with your colleagues.
