USA Day Kicks Off Global Series This Tuesday

Global Series is back this year! The series is going with the theme of "Explore the Treasures of Africa."

Participants will learn about different African cultures through presentations, music and traditional food.

They are kicking off the series with USA Day, a partnership of the International Culture Team with the Holcombe Global Series, to bring a unique experience where students can learn about American diversity through presentations about the US states.

All students, staff and faculty are invited to participate. Join us at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, in the Holcombe Hall living room for a night of fun learning, activities, food and dancing.

Global Series Events

  • Sept. 27: Battle of Jollof (Nigeria vs. Ghana)
  • Oct. 11: East Africa Rising (Rwanda, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya)
  • Oct. 25: Deserts of Africa/Adventures in the Safari (Malawi, Egypt)
  • Nov. 15: Dance Around the World

About University Housing: University Housing is a department within the Division of Student Affairs serving a community of around 7,000 students. More than 200 students find employment opportunities with University Housing each year.
