Cindy Pickney

After a year-long break, Cindy Pickney has returned to the U of A. The Department of Computer Science and Computer Engineering is happy to welcome Pickney back as the department's remote procurement and travel manager.

Before her retirement in 2019, Pickney had been a U of A employee for 16 years. Since 2005, Pickney has made her mark with civil engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science and computer engineering. She received her bachelor's degree in accounting from the U of A in 2010.

Upon Pickney's return to the department, faculty and staff were delighted. Her dedication to her work and attention to detail help faculty, students and staff stay organized and prepared for traveling and purchasing through the university.

Jenna Stacey, Computer Science and Computer Engineering ASCENT Program manager, is one of many who are thrilled by Pickney's return.

"We are so excited to have Cindy back in the CSCE department. Her experience and expertise at the University of Arkansas is invaluable. She will be great in this role as procurement and travel manager, and her addition will help others thrive in their current positions," Stacey said.

If you'd like to send Pickney a welcome back message, you can contact her at cpickne@uark.edu.
