Expanding Graduate Pathways: A Conversation with Alfred Dowe

On Friday, Sept. 30, Alfred Dowe will lead faculty and staff in a discussion on innovative approaches for recruiting and retaining graduate students from underrepresented backgrounds. Dowe is a former graduate student recruiter at the U of A and senior director of development at the United Way of Greater Atlanta.

We encourage faculty and staff engaged in graduate student education, support, recruitment and mentoring to attend.

Hosted by the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the Barbara A. Lofton Office of Diversity & Inclusion, this hybrid event will take place from 9-11:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 30, in Willard J. Walker Hall 203. A continental breakfast will be available beginning at 8:30 a.m.
