Staff Appreciation Week

The fifth annual Staff Appreciation Week at the U of A kicks off today, Monday, Oct. 10.

Throughout the week, U of A staff members can receive special discounts (with ID) at the following locations:

  • 10 percent off annual membership — redeem at UREC main office HPER 225
  • Free (ongoing) group fitness class offered each Wednesday from 11:30-12:15 at the UREC Fitness Center (Union)
  • Student pricing on all personal training packages.
  • Enter the UREC Fitness drawing for one free personal training starter package (assessment + one session)
  • 30 percent discount on all UREC gear rentals (camping, climbing, paddling)
  • Student pricing (~50 percent off) on hybrid and mountain bike rentals from UREC
  • Enter the UREC Outdoors drawing for one free gear rental of your choice (up to $80 in gear)
  • Sign up to redeem a free week-long UREC facility pass (grants access to all UREC facilities)
  • 15 percent off with ID — Hog Heaven, located inside the main entrance of the Broyles Athletic Center. Offer good during regular store hours. Not valid on gameday. Some exclusions may apply and not applicable to hats, Nike sideline or NIL items.
  • The U of A Bookstore is offering a 20% discount to faculty and staff with a valid ID at the University of Arkansas Bookstore located off Garland Avenue, in addition to a free cup of coffee.
  • All U of A staff members will receive up to four complimentary tickets to the Razorback Volleyball match versus Tennessee at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, inside Barnhill Arena. Must show U of A ID at the Barnhill Arena ticket window on gameday to receive this special promotion. Gates open at 6 p.m. Present your U of A ID at the marketing table under Section Q to receive a voucher for a complimentary hot dog and soft drink.

To cap off the week, Staff Senate will be hosting a Staff Afternoon Snack Break from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Arkansas Union on the South Terrace. There will be an assortment of treats and beverages for staff to come and enjoy while mingling with other staff members.
