Interested in finding out more about "How to Measure a Forest," the current exhibition in Vol Walker Hall?

Professor and artist Laura Terry will present a gallery talk at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, to discuss this body of work. The U of A campus community and the general public are invited to attend.

The exhibition remains on display through Oct. 21 in the Fred and Mary Smith Exhibition Gallery in Vol Walker Hall, as part of the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design's public exhibition series.

The exhibition is the result of Terry's creative work over the past three years. And as the wood and timber initiatives of the Fay Jones School grow and strengthen, Terry, an associate professor of architecture, wanted to contribute to those conversations through an artist's lens.

"I wanted to tell a more poetic story of the forest," she said, "from the perspective of an artist and to engage in these initiatives in a way that was authentic to me."

Admission to the exhibition is free.

The exhibition gallery is located on the first floor of Vol Walker Hall, and it is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
