Raleigh Woods

Startup Junkie and its Science Venture Studio are accepting applications for EMPOWER, a 16-week accelerator for Arkansas women in STEM who want to bring their innovation to market through non-dilutive federal research funding.

Over the course of the program, participants will engage in weekly webinars that will focus on the impact of their innovation, commercialization strategies and technical milestones that need to be achieved in order to bring their innovation to market. They will also be paired with an industry mentor and technology mentor to help them apply their learnings.

Applications close on Nov. 14. Applicants are encouraged to send in a video of themselves answering the questions on their phone.

Applicants can schedule a 30-minute meeting with Katie Thompson, executive director of the Science Venture Studio, in order for her to meet one-on-one and answer questions about the accelerator.
