Campus, Community Leaders Gather to Celebrate Regional DEI Efforts, Honor Murphy-Erby

The Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion invites you to a "Celebration of Our Journey Toward Equity" from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at TheatreSquared in Fayetteville. The following campus and community leaders will present 2022 year-end highlights, achievements, and upcoming DEI initiatives:

  • Yvette Murphy-Erby, vice chancellor, Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, University of Arkansas
  • Angela Oxford, senior manager, Walmart Foundation, NWA Region
  • Ryan Calabretta-Sajder, associate professor of Italian and associate director of gender studies, University of Arkansas
  • Candice Jones, senior director, Walmart, Programs — Culture, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion; Kerlee Nicolas, sales director, Procter and Gamble — Grooming, representing Community Cohesion Project
  • Margo LeMaster, executive director, EngageNWA
  • Robert Ford, artistic director, TheatreSquared

The presentations will be followed by a reception hosted by the Division of DEI to give special recognition to Murphy-Erby for her service and legacy as vice chancellor at the University of Arkansas.

All donated bikes will be given to Pedal It Forward, a local nonprofit that will refurbish your bike and return it to the U of A campus to be gifted to a student in need. Hundreds of students have already benefited.
