Travel Assistance Program Submissions Now Open

As part of the provost's commitment to supporting faculty development and enhancement, all full-time faculty are eligible to apply for travel assistance if they are presenting original research at a professional conference or creative activity at an exhibition, performance, or other related professional venue.

Applicants may receive up to $1,000 of travel assistance to present original research or creative activity where they have been selected to present as a primary investigator, artist, or performer. To receive reimbursement, awardees will be required to submit a detailed expense report upon completion of their travel. The report should note expenses covered from matching funds and expenses to be reimbursed by the travel grant.

Applicants must:

  • Be accepted or invited to a professional conference, exhibition, or performance
  • Be 100% appointed in a tenure-track, tenured, or non-tenure track position (including 100% appointed instructors and lecturers)
  • Be primary author, artist or performer

International conference travel requires additional justification.

Preference will be given to those who are able to secure any matching funds from their department, college, start-up or RIF accounts, and have not been funded in the last calendar year. Applicants should note matching funds in their application.

Applications are open through Dec. 9 for travel Jan. 1 through June 30, 2023.
