WLLC Student Success Peer Learning Workshop: Reading Comprehension & Writing

The Student Success Peer Learning Workshop Series continues this Thursday, November 3 at 5:15 p.m. in the World Languages & Digital Humanities Studio (JBHT 207). The series is open to both WLLC students and faculty, and is composed of three one-hour, student-led workshops (Oct. 26, Nov. 3 and Nov. 10) focusing on how to successfully study world languages and cultures. 

The November 3 workshop will focus on Reading Comprehension & Writing and will by led by WLLC students Joshua Jacobs (Classics) and Adoette Vaughan (French, Italian).

Each workshop is designed by undergraduate students to share their knowledge and helpful tips with other undergraduate students who are studying a world language. Student workshop leaders have been working with Student Success coaches Claudia Devich (instructor, German and Italian), Louise Cole (instructor, Spanish) and Curtis Maughan (director, World Languages and Digital Humanities Studio) to create their presentations to share with fellow Razorbacks.

Below is the complete schedule for the fall Peer Learning Workshop Series. All workshops will begin at 5:15 p.m. on the designated day and will be held in JBHT 207. Dinner will be provided.

• Wednesday, Oct. 26: Resources Beyond the Classroom & Preparing for an Oral Exam
  Workshop Leaders: Laney Hoggatt (Spanish), Belinda Watson (Spanish) and Elizabeth Black (Spanish, Arabic)

• Thursday, Nov. 3: Reading Comprehension and Writing
  Workshop Leaders: Joshua Jacobs (Classics) and Adoette Vaughan (French, Italian)

• Thursday, Nov. 10: Active Listening and Study Abroad
  Workshop Leaders: Annette Quinn (French) and Sarah Falknor (Arabic, Spanish)
