Interim Chancellor Charles Robinson welcomes U of A innovators.

Technology Ventures, a unit of the U of A Division of Economic Development, hosted the 2022 Inventors' Awards Banquet Nov. 2 in honor of U of A research faculty with awarded patents for 2019 to 2021.

Inventors and guests were welcomed by Interim Chancellor Charles Robinson and Technology Ventures Associate Director David Hinton. The program featured a demonstration by Dr. Scott Osborn of the Carbo-Rock-It technology that improves the carbonation process for craft breweries and utilized by Fayetteville's Core Brewing to produce their hard seltzer, Red Letter. Zac Hyden of AMBOTS presented a demonstration on product prototyping, and Adam Posnak of Hill Records, the U of A's student-run record label, provided music for the event.

Highlighting the economic impact of U of A research and innovation, Mike Malone, vice chancellor for economic development, noted the growing partnerships across the U of A System, proactive engagement and the Institute for Integrative and Innovative Research (I3R), the new model of public research and economic development.

Malone was joined by John English, vice chancellor for research and innovation, and David Snow, president of the U of A Technology Development Foundation, to present the patent award plaques. Go to the full list of awarded patents and inventors.
