New Online Instructor Training Sessions to Begin Jan. 10
Amy Cooper, Global Campus animation coordinator

University of Arkansas instructors new to online teaching are invited to join Global Campus instructional designers during one-hour training sessions from Jan. 10 through Jan. 20 for tips and assistance. Not-so-new instructors are welcome, too.

Online training sessions focus on common steps to prepare or enhance online courses, tips for course management, and ideas to gain student feedback and promote engagement. No sign-up is required. Drop into any of the eight sessions by clicking on the appropriate Teams link provided on the Teaching Innovation and Pedagogical Support website.

The one-hour sessions are offered Tuesday through Friday, Jan. 10-13 and Jan. 17-20. Training materials to accompany these sessions are available on the Global Campus website.

Instructors who will be teaching a class that was previously taught by another instructor and wish to copy their Blackboard course must first have the previous instructor email bbadmin@uark.edu and request that the course content is copied into your course or a development course.

The Global Campus supports U of A colleges and schools in the development and delivery of online, distance and workforce education programs and courses.  It provides instructional design services, technology services and assistance with registration, marketing, recruiting and strategic academic development.
