Nominations for Annual Advising Awards Are Now Open

Every year, the Academic Advising Council recognizes the top advisors and faculty advisors here at the U of A. The applicants are nominated by their department, and the Academic Advising Council will select the top nominee in each category.

There are four categories through the National Academic Advising Association: Outstanding New Advisor, Outstanding New Faculty Advisor, Outstanding Advisor and Outstanding Faculty Advisor. There are also four campus award categories: innovative advising, leading with brilliance, collegiality and silo-busting. If you want to nominate someone for these awards, submit an application detailing the extent to which your nominee meets the application criteria.

To read the application criteria and nominate an advisor, please visit the website. The deadline to nominate is at 5 p.m. Feb. 23. Help the AAC recognize and appreciate our hard-working advisors!
