If your New Year's resolution consists of learning something new, meeting new people and advancing your knowledge and skills, we've got a class for you. Learning, community and career development are on the rise in Northwest Arkansas.

U of A Professional and Workforce Development, in the Global Campus, introduces you to our new, community-based initiative that will connect you with volunteer community experts and civic leaders who want to share special skills and explore shared interests that are relevant to our lives, health and growth.

RazorLearn offers a variety of non-credit, community lectures led by local industry experts including U of A alumni, local executives and business owners. Course categories cover a range of topics including health and wellness, politics, business and sustainability.

Along with expanding your mind and engaging with people who share the same interests as you, RazorLearn is an initiative that will give back to our community and use education to advance the workforce and the people in it.

These short, low-cost classes start at $10 per course, and the funds will go to supplies for each class. Another option is offered for those who would like to take unlimited classes; that membership is $60.

Come check out our new space in Bentonville and see what we have in store for you in 2023. Enjoy networking and refreshments, and chat with some of the RazorLearn instructors about topics that will be covered in their lectures.

The free event will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Feb. 21 at The Collaborative in Bentonville, 704 SE 5th St., Bentonville.

The Global Campus Professional and Workforce Development team moved into a new space, called The Learning Lab, at the beginning of 2022. It includes a boardroom, large classroom, podcast room, computer lab and staff offices.
