Analytical Chemistry Seminar on 'Optical Methods for Cell Metabolism' Friday

Dr. Timothy Muldoon, associate professor of biomedical engineering, will give a seminar titled "Optical methods for cell metabolism: An overview of the Arkansas Integrative Metabolic Research Center" in CHEM 144 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10.
There will be refreshments available before the seminar starting at 3:10 p.m. in CHEM 133. The seminar will also be available on Zoom for those who would like to attend remotely. The talk is free and open to the public.
Tim Muldoon is a founding member of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the U of A, joining the faculty as an assistant professor in 2012. He received his Ph.D. in bioengineering at Rice University in 2009, where he was advised by Rebecca Richards-Kortum. He received an M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine in 2010. He served as a postdoctoral research scientist with Elizabeth Hillman at Columbia University prior to joining the U of A. He has authored 18 publications and more than 35 conference papers to date. He has served as principal investigator on two National Institutes of Health research grants. This includes a recently awarded Academic Research Enhancement Award (R15) from the National Cancer Institute for his work on developing multimodal microendoscopy and spectroscopy technologies.
