U of A Begins Dean Search for the Graduate School and International Education

The dean search for the U of A's Graduate School and International Education is currently underway. Provost Terry Martin has appointed Vice Provost for Distance Education Cheryl Murphy to chair the search committee. 

"The Office of the Provost is excited to begin the search for the next leader of the Graduate School and International Education," said Provost Martin. "I'm grateful to Vice Provost Cheryl Murphy for leading the search, and I'm confident that under her leadership, the search committee will produce an exceptional group of candidates for consideration."

The search committee seeks candidates in this internal, campus-wide search. Those interested in the position can view the job description and apply here. The position closes March 10. Campus interviews are likely to begin in late March or early April.

The dean of the Graduate School and International Education is an important member of the university's leadership team. Reporting to the provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs, the position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to provide strategic direction and build relationships with various stakeholders, both on and off-campus, to foster collaboration and support the university's land-grant and research mission.
