Explore Delta Blues at Feb. 22 Juke Joint Experience With DEI Hour

In recognition of Black History Month, the Fulbright College Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and College of Engineering Office of Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion will host a DEI Hour pop-up experience at the Pryor Center's Juke Joint exhibit from 3:30-5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22. The DEI Hour is free and open to the public.

Orson Weems, co-founder and executive director of The Music Education Initiative, will speak about the history of the Delta blues, gospel, soul and jazz music and their importance and influence on society. 

The Juke Joint exhibit, which is on lease from the Clinton Presidential Center, is an authentic walk-through replica of a Delta blues juke joint. This experiential exhibit increases our community's exposure and provides access to the arts in an exciting new way.
