University Recreation and the Arkansas Alumni Association will host the sixth annual Running of the Hogs 5k/10k on Saturday, March 11. This year will include a brand new 1-mile option: The Hog Jog. Hog Jog participants are encouraged to walk, jog or run. The event will include in-person and virtual options for all three races. Participants can register online now.

Virtual participants will have the option to complete any route of their choosing, including the official race route found on Strava titled "Running of the Hogs," between March 11 and 19. Race signs will be placed at the start and finish line, as well as throughout the course from March 11 to 19  to help guide virtual racers through the course.

All race participants will be required to sign a Running of the Hogs waiver. All participants will also receive a race box, which will include the official ROTH short-sleeve shirt, a race sticker as well as promotional materials from the race sponsors.

Race Information

  • Race registration for the 5k/10k is $30 for adults, $20 for U of A students and $20 for youth ages 13-17. These prices are the same for both the in-person and virtual races. The Hog Jog is $15. All children 12 and under can register  free of charge with a participating adult.
  • The 10k will begin at 8 a.m., followed by the 5k at 8:15 a.m. The Hog Jog will start at approximately 9 a.m.
  • Awards will be given to the top three 5k/10k in-person finishers for each registration classification.

Those who are interested in volunteering to assist with the race can sign up through the Running of the Hogs GivePulse.
