Philosophy in the Ozarks Offers Two Lectures This Week

As a part of the inaugural Philosophy in the Ozarks graduate conference this weekend, the Department of Philosophy is excited to host two free public lectures on social epistemology and applied philosophy of language.

portrait of Cassie HerbertCassie Herbert, assistant professor of philosophy and women's, gender and sexuality studies at Illinois State University, will speak about "Very Online Misogyny" at 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 3.

portrait of Jenna DonohueJenna Lyn-Adsit Donohue, currently a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University, will speak on "The Scylla and Charybdis of Paternalism and Moral Complicity" at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 4. (Donohue will join the U of A Philosophy Department as an assistant professor in fall 2023.)

Both lectures will be in Giffels Auditorium (Old Main, 2nd floor). All are welcome!
