Bees for Bach Concert This Sunday
U of A vocal and oboe students and faculty will perform a fundraiser concert at 5 p.m. Sunday, March 5, for Heifer International charity. The "Bees for Bach" concert, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fayetteville, raises money to buy beehives and beekeeper training for families in diverse areas of the world.
When the families receive the gift of bees and training, they can use that as an income source while also increasing their crop yields thanks to the bee pollination.
The concert, featuring the music of J.S. Bach, will be presented by faculty members Moon-Sook Park, soprano; Theresa Delaplain, oboe; and Robert Mueller, organ; along with student oboists Madeleine Amox, Wesley Becher, Anna Bisbee, Sterling LeDoux, Hannah Myers, Chloe Tucker and Lime Whitlow, and student vocalists Kalista Brown, Garrett Cash, Nathan Edwards, Narcadelia Fuentes, Dalton Jones, Andrew Neff, Edwin Soto, Kevin Willis and Talina Woods. Two alumni are also performing: oboist Lorilee Erdman and vocalist Emily Cross.
