Guests From University of Manouba, Tunis, to Visit U of A and Host 'Weekly DH Meet-Up' Today

This week, the World Languages & Digital Humanities Studio is thrilled announce that our guests from the University of Manouba in Tunis will be hosting the Weekly Digital Humanities Meet-Up from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, at the WLDH Studio in J.B. Hunt Center 207.

Professors Mohamed Karim Azizi (game development) and Hosni Ajlani (3D animation), along with their colleagues from the Higher Institute of Multimedia Arts, will present "Building a Digital Technology Curriculum to Bridge Education and Industry in North Africa — and Beyond."

The show's guests will shed light on their interdisciplinary and multilingual collaborations around the world, and they will discuss with how the U of A could collaborate with the University of Manouba!

The Weekly DH Meet-Up is a series of workshops that demonstrate the intersections of digital humanities with digital pedagogy. The field of Digital Humanities broadly focuses on the application of technology to disciplines within the humanities, such as history and literature. Workshops alternate on Wednesday mornings from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Thursday afternoons from 3:30-5 p.m.
