Funding Available for Research in Cell and Tissue Metabolism

The focus of the NIH-funded Arkansas Integrative Metabolic Research Center is to understand the role of cell and tissue metabolism in disease, development and repair through research involving advanced imaging, bioenergetics and data science.

If your research has a similar focus, and you are an assistant professor who has not yet received major federal funding (e.g., An NIH R01 or an NSF 3-5 year grant), then this funding opportunity is for you! Successful applications will be collaborative, interdisciplinary, should expand the applicant's research and have the potential to generate data for federal funding applications.

Anticipated award dates are July 1, 2023, to May 15, 2024. Budgets of $25,000 in direct costs are recommended, but a maximum of $50,000 in direct costs can be requested. Awardees will have an opportunity to apply for a second year of funding in 2024 to continue successful projects.

The deadline for application submission is at 11:59 p.m. Saturday, April 15.
