Global Series: Women Empowerment Movement
Global Series is excited to invite you to a celebration of Women's History Month.
Come hear students from Iran and Indonesia share different women led movements that demand equality of rights, treatment and opportunities.
At this event, we will dive into the effect of the murder of Mahsa Imam on Iranian women and how it led to the overall demand for equal rights.
We will also hear from Indonesian students who will be sharing the role of Raden Ayu Kartin in women's education, equality and empowerment in the history of Indonesia.
Global Series events are open to all U of A students, staff and faculty as well as the Fayetteville community. We encourage attendees to invite their families and friends.
Join us at 6 p.m. today in Holcombe Hall for an evening of student-led learning followed by sharing authentic traditional meals from both countries
