Muslim Students Association Fastathon

Muslim Students Association Fastathon
Submitted by MSA

Come join the Muslim Students Association in our annual Fastathon, where we challenge you to fast an entire day with us on Wednesday, March 29. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and is when your Muslim friends fast each day from dawn until sunset for an entire month. At sunset, Muslims typically meet together in congregation where they break their fast as a community by sharing a meal together.

For anyone who is interested in fasting or learning about the Islamic month of Ramadan (or maybe just free food), we welcome you to join us for our Fastathon event, which will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, in the Cordia Harrington Center, room 349. Challenge yourself to fast the entire day and join your Muslim friends to end your fasts together! (Note: All are welcome to the event and fasting is not required!) Dinner will be served!

This event is supported by the Student Activities Fee as a funded event by the Associated Student Government and is free to all currently enrolled University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, students who pay the student activities fee. This event is held in a venue that meets ADA standards. Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend this event. If you require a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this event, please contact Abdullah Asif, asif@uark.edu, (479) 321-1366 by five business days prior to the event.
