Stacy Seger has joined the College of Engineering as assistant director of development, reporting to John Fray, who was promoted to director of development last fall.

Seger honed her fundraising skills as development director of the Northwest Arkansas Women's Shelter in Rogers, where she increased fundraising from corporate and private gifts over three years and managed a $2 million budget. Her leadership resulted in the shelter's most successful signature fundraising event in 2022.

Seger's prior experience includes serving as senior pastor of the Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Kenosha, Wisconsin, from 2013 to 2019, and as pastor of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Bentonville from 2008 to 2013. In both posts, she oversaw all areas of the ministry, including supervising staff and volunteers, managing large budgets, and conducting fundraising and outreach.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and liberal arts for the human services from the University of Minnesota, Morris, and a Master of Divinity in pastoral leadership, counseling and nonprofit leadership from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota.

She lives in Centerton with her husband, Silas, and her two children, Sam and Sophie.

"Stacy's outstanding leadership and fundraising skills will make her an incredible asset to our team at a time of growth and transformation in the college," said Bill Lansden, senior director of development.

Lansden leads the college's seven-member development team, which includes Fray; Seger; Stella Clark, development specialist; Jennifer Cook, director of communications; Christin Finney, digital media specialist; and Marla Sheely, development support specialist.

Seger said she's ready to hit the ground running to support Dean Kim Needy's vision for the college.

"I love building relationships and getting folks excited around a common mission," she said.
