Arkansas Union Seeks Applicants for Advisory Committee
Aleesa Williams, AUAC PR Chair

The Arkansas Union has issued an open call for applicants to its advisory committee. The Arkansas Union Advisory Committee acts as an advisory body for administrative and business functions of the union. The committee provides student input regarding union operations, renovations and other special initiatives. General student board member positions are available for new, returning and graduate students. Open officer positions include the chair, vice chair, secretary and public relations coordinator. Officer positions include a stipend.

The Arkansas Union Advisory Committee is a great opportunity to increase student involvement, gain leadership experience and meet fellow students. Current chair and four-year member Gabi Gies shares her experience on the committee: "AUAC has been one of the best experiences of my college career," Gies said. "I've made lifelong friends and mentors and had the chance to plan events to make the student experience better."

The application is available here and closes April 24 at noon. We look forward to reviewing the applications and meeting you all come the start of school! Please reach out to Tyler Merreighn, AUAC vice chair, at tlmerrei@uark.edu with any questions.
