Faculty Appreciation Week Events and Giveaways April 10-14

A week full of events, giveaways and special discounts are planned to celebrate Faculty Appreciation Week April 10-14.

"I want to express my sincere gratitude to our faculty for everything they do to advance student success and achieve research excellence for our institution," said Provost Terry Martin. "Our faculty are vital to helping us fulfill our land-grant mission. I want to encourage everyone to thank our faculty, not just this week, but every day, for the great contributions they make to our university, state, nation and world."

During Faculty Appreciation Week, faculty can participate in special events, receive free coffee and get discounts at Hog Heaven and the campus bookstore.

 In addition, faculty can enter drawings to receive prizes including:

  • Razorback merchandise
  • Dave & Buster's gift cards
  • A personal photo shoot
  • A giftbox from Buff City
  • Two suite tickets to attend the first home football game of the 2023 football season as Chancellor Robinson's guest

Winners of the drawings will be notified on Friday, April 14.

Faculty can stop by TIPs in the CORD, rooms 301-302, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day for TIPS Totally Ultra Giveaways. Faculty will get free dry erase markers and pens and receive information about Blackboard Learn Ultra Course Experience.

University Recreation (UREC) will be providing discounts and giveaways to faculty during the week including a 30% discount on all gear rentals (camping, climbing, paddling), student pricing on bike rentals and personal training, 10% off of an annual membership, and giveaways for gear rental and personal training. UREC also offers faculty a free ongoing fitness class each Wednesday from 11:30-12:15 at the UREC Fitness Center (Union) and a free week-long pass for faculty who would like to try UREC’s facilities before getting a membership.
