On April 11 at 5 p.m., the French Film Series will be hosting a screening of À bout de souffle [Breathless] for current U of A French students and instructors.

The film is a 1960 French crime drama written and directed by Jean-Luc Godard. This film stars Jean-Paul Belmondo as a wandering criminal named Michel, and Jean Seberg as his American girlfriend, Patricia.

The film was Godard's first feature-length work and represented Belmondo's breakthrough as an actor. Breathless is an influential example of French new wave (nouvelle vague) cinema.

Don't miss the screening of a French New Wave classic that changed the world of cinema forever! The film will be shown in French with English subtitles, and light refreshments will be provided. This will be the last screening held by the French Film Series this semester.
