Matters of Faith in LGBTQ Community: A Pre-Concert Panel Discussion About 'Considering Matthew Shepard'
In preparation for U of A Schola Cantorum's presentation of "Considering Matthew Shepard," which concerns Shepard's 1998 murder and includes the response of the Westboro Baptist Church to his murder, there will be a pre-concert panel discussion that disusses the intersection of the LGBTQ+ and faith.
Partnering with NWA Equality, students will be able to hear the lived experience of people for whom both queerness and faith are non-negotiable parts of their lives and identities. The event will be open to the whole community, both on and off campus.

Time: 6:30-9 p.m.
Location: Sanctuary of St. Paul's Church on Dickson Street in Fayetteville
Description: Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Schola Cantorum will perform at 7. The panel runs from 7:15-8:15, followed by some Q&A. Schola Cantorum performs again at 8:45, and the event concludes at 9.
The U of A Schola Cantorum will perform "Considering Matthew Shepard," one of the 21st century's most powerful masterworks, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 15, at the Faulkner Performing Arts Center.
