Honors College 'Best in Show' Dog Celebration Postponed Until May 4
Design by Leigh Prassel

Due to inclement weather expected in the NW Arkansas area, the Honors College "Best in Show" has been postponed until Thursday, May 4, from 3-4:30 p.m. This a golden opportunity to show off your pooch and indulge in all things canine.

Join the Honors College as we celebrate our furry friends with popsicles, water and dog treats. All on campus and in the community are invited to attend. All attendees (with or without dogs) must register to attend the event.

If you plan to bring your pup to campus, you must register in advance of the event; submissions will be accepted on the day of the event ONLY if you have the correct vaccination paperwork. Please note that you are required to show proof of current vaccination records at the time of registration, per university policy. Only one dog per person, please. If you do not have a UARK email address to register, please email cew003@uark.edu.

"The Best in Show is a highlight for the Honors College every year," said Chelsea Hodge, director of grants and research innovation at the Honors College. "Come show off your pup or take a break from studying for finals to pet some sweet dogs."

Proud dog parents may also upload a photo of their dog when registering to enter the "Cutest Pet" competition, currently underway on the Honors College Facebook and Instagram. There you can find adorable photos of prime contenders like Foxtrot, Penny, Sancha, Rupert and Bandido von Haus — with contestants like these, there will certainly be some stiff competition come showtime!
