New Student & Family Programs is excited to host an inaugural celebration to honor the successes of graduating first-generation students and their families! We define "first-generation" as someone whose parents/guardians did not graduate from a four-year college.

We understand the journey it takes to be the first in your family to graduate from college, and it is an accomplishment that deserves to be celebrated! The Graduating First-Generation Student Celebration will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, with remarks at 6:30 p.m. by Chancellor Charles Robinson and other guests. A location will be sent to students after they RSVP.

During the celebration, students will receive a "First-Generation Graduate" silver stole that they are encouraged to wear at the celebration and their commencement. First-generation graduates can RSVP themselves and guests at this link by Monday, May 8. We look forward to celebrating all of your accomplishments!
