Recruiting U of A Employees 55-65 Years Old Who Wear Progressive Lenses When Using a Computer

Recruitment Flyer For Research Study

Researchers are enrolling participants for a new study that will look at the use of large computer monitors. They are recruiting people:

• From the U of A community aged 55-65.
• Who wear progressive addition lenses (PALs) for age-related vision loss when using a computer. You can see images of two types of progressive lenses in the attached flier.
• Who currently use and are proficient with a Windows-based computer. 

You will not be able to participate in this study if you have had a previous eye disease, upper-body injury, whiplash or concussion, chronic headaches or migraines, a history of dizziness/fainting or previous neck, upper back or low back pain that required more than three days off from regular activities.

You will be asked to attend the Exercise Science Research Center on the U of A campus for one two-hour session. Once you read over the information form and provide informed consent, you will have sensors placed on your head, neck and back to monitor your posture and muscle activity during computer use.

You will receive compensation for your participation in this study (a $40 Amazon gift card).
