UARK Leaders Program Seeking Nominations for Next Cohort

The UARK Leaders program is now accepting nominations for its fourth cohort, which will run from October 2023 to April 2024. The purpose of this program is to develop a diverse group of leaders across campus who will work together to ensure the success of the university's land-grant mission, vision and values. UARK Leaders is open to both staff and faculty with two or more direct reports, and who direct an organizational unit or large-scale projects or programs.

The 2023-24 UARK Leaders program will focus on three key leadership competencies and the university's three strategic priority areas: student success, research excellence and the university's status as an employer of choice. These themes will be incorporated throughout the content and activities during the program.

The program will also include:

  • A half-day kick-off meeting

  • Five days of workshop sessions

  • A self-assessment

  • Up to three one-on-one coaching sessions with a professional coach

  • A team-based action learning project focused on real-time university issues
