Chancellor Charles Robinson will be joined by other campus leaders for a celebration of the start of a new semester on Friday, Sept. 8.

Faculty, staff and students are invited to join Chancellor Charles Robinson and other campus leaders this Friday, Sept. 8, at the Arkansas Union between 2-3:30 p.m. to celebrate the kickoff of a new semester at the U of A.

Hosted by the Office of the Chancellor, Enrollment Services and Student Affairs, the event offers an occasion to come together to take stock of the university's many successes.

"As our students fill their classrooms and excitement builds for the traditions of the fall semester, I want to express my gratitude to our faculty and staff, who support our students in countless ways," Robinson said. "Your dedication and hard work make the University of Arkansas' success possible."

The celebration will take place on the north terrace of the Arkansas Union. Make plans now to drop in and enjoy cake, ice cream and music.

This fall, the U of A welcomed its second largest freshman class, including a record number of new freshmen from Arkansas. The Office of Strategic Analytics and Insights completes a census report on the 11th day of classes each fall and will provide additional reporting about the campus community in the coming days.
