DH Meet-Up: World Cultures & Digital Humanities Project Showcase Starts Thursday

The World Languages & Digital Humanities Studio in the World Languages, Literatures & Cultures Department is excited to announce the return of the Digital Humanities Meet-Up.

The fall series kicks off from 4-5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, in the WLDH Studio at J.B. Hunt Center, room 207. 

The opening DH Meet-Up will feature projects from Kathleen Condray, professor of German; Maria Comsa, teaching assistant professor of French; Annie Doucet, assistant professor of French; and Rhodora Vennarucci, assistant professor of classical studies.

Presentations will include a multimodal website that maps migrant voices in Arkansas, touch-screen paleography lessons for learning Medieval French, the innovative use of digital tools for cultivating a creative classroom and a research trip abroad in Italy. The workshop will be followed by a reception.

There are two DH Meet-Ups this month: this Thursday, Sept. 14, 4-5 p.m., and Thursday, Sept. 28, 11 a.m. to noon. Both will take place in JBHT 207.
