Amason Earns Research Fellowship at U of A Rome Center
Trish Amason
Trish Amason has been named the recipient of a Research Fellowhip at the U of A Rome Center from the U of A Graduate School and International Education. The fellowship will begin in the spring 2024 semester. Amason plans to research family communication and support in students studying abroad at the Rome Center.
Amason is an associate professor in the Department of Communication in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences. Amason earned her B.S.E. in communication and journalism education from the U of A. She then went on to earn her M.A. from the University of Kentucky and Ph.D. from Purdue University. Since then, Amason has been a cornerstone of the Department of Communication, teaching more than 24 different classes and serving in a variety of different administrative posistions in her time here.
