Learn about cybersecurity certifications with Kenneth Sahs and CyberHogs starting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, in the J.B. Hunt Center for Excellence, room 0216. CyberHogs is bringing Sahs of Training Camp to the U of A campus to talk to students about the ins and outs of cybersecurity certifications and how to navigate the many options out there. This event hosted by the CyberHogs Cybersecurity Club RSO. This event is free for all currently enrolled U of A students.
When the landscape of a field changes on a day-by-day basis, it can be hard to stay up to date on the latest information. Cybersecurity is one such field that evolves constantly. This fast-paced environment coupled with the many niche technical areas in cybersecurity leaves a hole of knowledge that can't be filled by academic institutions like universities. This is where certifications come fit in. Certifications provide a way for students, professionals and leaders alike to keep their skills up to date with an accreditation to back them. However, there are many different certification companies and types, which can make the field hard to navigate as a beginner.
Sahs is a seasoned professional in the IT/IS/cyber certification industry, dedicated to facilitating the certification journey for organizations and individuals across the globe. With a wealth of experience, Sahs has successfully guided numerous professionals towards achieving top-tier certifications in the field. His passion for enhancing skills and knowledge in the ever-evolving landscape of IT and cybersecurity has earned him a reputation as a trusted mentor and adviser.
This event is supported by the Student Activities Fee as a funded event by the Associated Student Government and is free to all currently enrolled University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, students who pay the student activities fee.
