Our future events

You're Invited to Make a Difference with Us!
Join the Rotaract Club at the University of Arkansas in two impactful events that invite you to be the change:

Volunteering at Potter's House in Fayetteville
We're teaming up with Potter's House, a local organization devoted to eradicating hunger and poverty in our community. Here's your opportunity to roll up your sleeves, offer your time and resources, and help us make a difference right here at home.

Back to School Project
Education is at the heart of our mission, and you're invited to be part of it. Our Back-to-School project is all about collecting donations of essential school supplies. Think composition notebooks, syrup, powdered milk, and dish soap. These supplies will find their way to local students in need, ensuring they have the tools they need for a successful school year.

Be part of something bigger than yourself. Join us in these events, and let's create positive change together!

Past events

The Rotaract Club at the University of Arkansas is thrilled to share the joy of our recent international service project in Chepo, Panama. During the week of May 17-23, our passionate members set out on a mission to brighten the lives of families in the Chepo district of southern Panama. In this heartwarming adventure, we focused our efforts on the vibrant communities of Bethel, Cañita, Loma del Naranjo, and Buenos Aires. Through soccer ball donations, we provided these wonderful communities with clean water filters, essential school supplies, and the magic of soccer. Our commitment to addressing critical needs in underserved areas shines brightly through this initiative. We're not just changing lives; we're spreading happiness and creating a lasting impact, one clean glass of water, one notebook, and one joyful soccer kick at a time.

For our Vice-President Isis Rwamasirabo it was an "illuminating" experience and perspective-altering for sure. We met indigenous Panamanians called the Guna, painted a schoolhouse dining hall, assembled and installed water filtration systems that can last up to 45 years, and donated school supplies and firefighting equipment. It was fun doing fire drills with the bomberitos who trained to be the next generation of firefighters from a young age, and we celebrated the Dia de etnia negra with the students.

We worked with professionals who guided us in serving our purpose of rotary in action efficiently and effectively. We also spoke with local leaders and government officials who talked to us more about the needs of the community and the issues facing them. We were inspired by how everybody we met reflected the value of service and our motto of service above self!
