Pack the Pantry 2023

In celebration of the U of A Homecoming 2023, the Jane B. Gearhart Full Circle Food Pantry is kicking off its seventh annual Pack the Pantry Drive!

The drive will be running from Monday, Oct. 9, through Friday, Oct. 20. In 2022, the Food Pantry collected over 37,000 goods and thousands of dollars of monetary donations. This year they are serving our greatest number of clients, over 1,200 individuals a month, so they need your help to restock our shelves.

To make the drive run efficiently, we will have time slots available for individuals and organizations to drop donations off at our space. Physical donations can also be made inside the following:

  • Student Success Center at the Cordia Harrington Center,
  • The Multicultural Center in the Arkansas Union,
  • Harmon Parking Garage,
  • The Information Desk inside the Arkansas Union and
  • Multiple other locations around campus with a black Pack the Pantry bin.

Additionally, you can visit the Full Circle Food Pantry Amazon Wishlist, which will ship donations directly to our office! If you would like to make a monetary donation, go to the U of A Online Giving Site to donate!

Our most commonly distributed items include:

  • Canned meat (tuna, chicken, pork and beans)

  • Canned beans (pinto, black and kidney)

  • Canned fruit and vegetables

  • Peanut butter

  • Jelly

  • Granola bars

  • Rice/pasta

  • Non-scented laundry detergent

  • Non-scented hygiene products
