Required Security Training for Faculty and Staff

The 2023-24 Annual Cybersecurity Awareness training is now available! To elevate the importance and understanding of cybersecurity on campus, U of A faculty and staff will be required to complete cybersecurity training in Blackboard. This training is meant to provide employees with the knowledge and resources needed to protect university data. 

As of today, Oct. 18, this training is available on Blackboard and must be completed by Dec. 22. You can expect this six-part training to take approximately 30 minutes to complete. Find a list of the training modules below. 

  1. 2024 Kevin Mitnick Security Awareness Training (15 minutes) 

  1. Do you Like Candy? Be Wary of USB Devices (two minutes) 

  1. USB Drives Convenient and Comprisable (two minutes) 

  1. Double Trouble Trivia: Social Engineering Game (eight minutes) 

  1. Top 5 Phishing Fundamentals (five minutes) 

  1. Final 10-question quiz 

To access the training, log into Blackboard and find the training listed under Courses. If you are having trouble accessing the training, please contact the IT Help Desk for assistance.
