Engineering World Health Hosts Medical Device Design Seminar Nov. 1
Engineering World Health

Engineering World Health will host a medical device design seminar free for all students at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, in Bell Engineering room 2269. Attendees will learn about various global healthcare challenges and the initiatives that EWH design team members are leading to combat healthcare problems through medical device innovation. Attendees will enjoy free food.

Many under-resourced regions around the world lack adequate medical technology to meet healthcare demands. Engineering World Health design teams bring together students from a variety of majors to create technology that solves particular healthcare challenges in under-resourced settings. This is an opportunity for anyone to learn more about global healthcare issues, the early medical technology design process and the importance of a strong understanding of end user needs in medical device design.

This event is supported by the Student Activities Fee as a funded event by the Associated Student Government and is free to all currently enrolled University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, students who pay the student activities fee. This event is held in a venue that meets ADA standards. Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend this event. If you require a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this event, please contact Bree Scott, bls038@uark.edu, by five business days prior to the event.
