2023 Rapport Badge from the Cordes Teaching and Faculty Support Center

The Cordes Teaching and Faculty Support Center is pleased to recognize 25 new faculty members with the Rapport Badge. In October, new faculty, defined as faculty within their first two years at the U of A, had the opportunity to participate in programming on campus offered by the center, submit a reflection and be recognized with an electronic badge.

The program that qualified for the badge was the new faculty luncheon event featuring Lorraine Brewer from the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences that was held in early October.

The Rapport Badge was designed to help increase connections between professors and students. Connections between faculty and students can help foster a sense of belonging to the U of A community for both faculty and students. It is also designed to provide recognition to new faculty who are committed to the development of their teaching skills early in their careers at the U of A. Faculty awarded the rapport badge were:
