Open Enrollment Deadline Extended Due to Workday Outage

Open Enrollment Deadline Extended Due to Workday Outage
University of Arkansas

In recognition of the Workday outage on Thursday, Nov. 2, the open enrollment period will be extended through noon on Tuesday, Nov. 7. The previous deadline had been 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6.

Open enrollment is the only time employees can make changes to certain benefits and coverages each year, outside of a qualifying life event. Completion of the open enrollment process is not required unless employees have a flexible spending account, which requires re-enrollment each year. If no action is taken, employees will roll over 2023 benefits selections to 2024. Employees must be 50% appointed (average 20 hours) or greater and not in a student position, such as a senior graduate assistant, to be eligible for benefits.

The Open Enrollment 2024 course in Workday Learning will help guide employees through the enrollment process. If not logged in to Workday, the course link will go to myapps.microsoft.com. Log into Workday from this page to be redirected to the course.

New in 2024, the current wellness program and Tobacco Pledge will be replaced by UMR's Live Well Reward$ wellness program. Those enrolled in the Classic or Premier Plan automatically qualify for a lower medical plan out-of-pocket limit by opting into the wellness program. To opt in, first log in to umr.com and opt in for the Live Well Reward$ wellness program by the deadline to be eligible for savings in 2024. Instructions for completing this process can be found in the Wellness Program section of the 2024 Open Enrollment website. Once opted into the wellness program, employees will be able to submit the Tobacco Pledge after Jan. 1, 2024.
