The university is preparing for an oversized shipment that will require a police escort and the entirety of the southbound side of Arkansas Avenue. As a result, the metered parking spaces along the west side of Arkansas Avenue will be closed off and barricaded on Dec. 4, to allow for the oversized trucks to pass through.

The shipment will deliver HVAC equipment to the site of the future I³R facility on Dickson Street.

Traffic is expected to be impacted the morning of Dec. 4 to allow for the trucks to navigate their planned route around campus. Those who usually use Maple Street, Arkansas Avenue or Dickson Street should consider an alternative route to avoid slowdowns.

A second shipment is expected later in December. A new announcement will be posted when additional information for that event becomes available.
