Take a much-needed break from studying and join the Pat Walker Health Center's Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) for its much-anticipated end-of-the-semester event — Play Day!

Play Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Thursday, Dec. 7 in the Arkansas Union Connections Lounge. This event is one of CAPS favorite and most popular events of the year as students learn how to practice relaxing techniques.

In addition to CAPS hosting this year, other campus partners such as ASG, the Multicultural Center, and UARK Wellness will be in attendance to offer students additional activities to participate in. This bi-annual event is a component of the Division of Student Affairs 2023-2024 priorities of well-being, collaboration, and student belonging.

Play Day consists of a fun-filled day with the goal of helping students take the edge off of looming finals and learn about stress-relieving tips to help them better succeed academically. CAPS will also have on-site clinicians available to talk with students.

Activities include: massage chairs, henna stencils, ornament making, coloring sheets, and of course play dates with dogs! Dogs from Fayetteville Animal Services and K9s from UAPD will be present for most of the event for students to interact with. Free food will also be available.
